Purpose Statements

Our purpose is:

• To help adults develop the ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• To help the public understand the economic and social impact of adult illiteracy.

• To increase community awareness and visibility of adult literacy resources.

• To develop community involvement and business support.

• To coordinate the recruitment, training, and retention of tutors and the recruitment and retention of learners.

• To develop financial resources to meet adult literacy needs.
